1.2.2 February 26th Professional Development
Highlandtown 237 staff was introduced to the green school application process in August when school began. In February we decided to have a "check-in" where we discussed our progress of becoming a green school and what last action steps needed to be taken.

1.2.3: At least 10% of teachers have participated in environmental education professional development
Number of instructional staff: 40
Number of instructional staff who have completed EEPD: 4 Percentage of teachers who have completed EEPD: 10% Highlandtown Elementary/Middle is in the 3rd cohort of the SABES program with Johns Hopkins University. Not only do we have 3 complete grade levels (3rd, 4th, and 5th) that use the SABES curriculum, we also have an after school program targeting this instruction.
